Roger De Roo Research Website

I specialize in microwave remote sensing, particularly the physical science of how it works, as opposed to being a scientific user of remote sensing products, such as imagery. As such, I study instrumentation, measurement techniques, cal/val, interference mitigation, remote sensing signature characterization, etc.

Current Projects:

A low-cost sensor to quantify spatial and temporal variability of snow packs for SCLP validation

Contact Info:

I’m always interested in talking about my research, especially if you’re an undergrad or grad student looking for an interesting project!

The best way to reach me, by far, is via email: [email protected]

My office phone number: +1(734)647-8779.

My office:
2543D Space Research Building
Department of Atmospheric, Oceanic, and Space Sciences
2455 Hayward St.
University of Michigan
Ann Arbor, MI 48109-2143

If you wish to visit me, be aware that the Space Research Building is rather confusing, with a seemingly random room numbering scheme. My office is on the 2nd floor, in the east wing, on an outside wall overlooking the tall tower on the lawn just east of SRB. It is accessed from the main hallway via a faux hallway, which is numbered as 2543 SRB.
